We are seeking a talented individual to lead a programming team focused on next-generation massively multiplayer online games. The ideal applicant will possess outstanding communication and coordination skills. The Lead Systems Programmer will lead a team of programmers to create and maintain core engine features across both client and server, and will uphold and improve code quality across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software engineers in the design and implementation of core game engine features
• Work closely with other departments to improve existing tools and determine new solutions
• Maintain system architecture and core libraries
• Identify and resolve pipeline issues and discover opportunities for improvement
• Participate in scheduling a team in an agile environment

• Experience shipping game titles in a senior or lead role
• Strong understanding of game engine design and architecture
• Experience with multiplayer & network game architecture
• Advanced understanding of C++
• Strong mathematics skills
• Ability to mentor, interview, and evaluate programmers
• Strong communication and management skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced understanding of game-content pipeline and tools

• Previous MMO development experience
• Experience working with open-world, streaming game engines and data-loading
• Experience with multi-threaded game development
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with Lua programming
• Experience with C# programming
• Cross-platform game experience (Linux, Windows, and Macintosh)
